Brief Curricula

Dr. Guido Sportelli

 

Illustrious Scholar specialized in Sicilian and Greek Art.
Dr. Sportellii has dedicated most of his life to studying, with genuine passion, the history and development of the multiple cultural influences in Sicily. He has also published several essays and presented numerous conferences of distinguished academic stature.
On January 7, 1977, Dr. Sportelli was honored by H.R.M. Queen Elizabeth II of England, with the title of "Member of the British Empire".
Former Director of Development and International Affairs, Bank of Sicily.
Former President of Palermo's "English Speaking Club."
Since May 2001, Honorary President of ATHENAEUM International Cultural Association.

 

Mr. Francesco Bertolino

 

Art Historian and Archeologist. Graduated in Ceramic Restoration at "Istituto per l'Arte e il Restauro" in Florence, Italy.
Director of "Studio d'arte e restauro Keramòs", a restoration laboratory in Palermo.
He is an expert in ceramic restoration, archeological restoration and aesthetic restoration.
He works under the commission of the European Community, and has worked at sites in South America, Turkey, Central Europe and Italy. He is currently working with Dr. Robert Winter on the Santa Catalina team, as well as in Calabria and Sicily.

Professor, Doctor Maria Antonietta La Barbera. Docent in charge of French Language and Literature at University of Palermo since 1970.
