ATHENAEUM EXPANDS!
Our Association expands his presence in the world with two new seats in Ferruzzano Superiore (Calabria, Italy) and Geneve (Switzerland). These seats will permit to make our activity more effective and useful in the territory.

NEW MEMBERS!
We are proud to announce that three new members have joined our association!
They are Kathleen Winter (Hickory, North Carolina, USA), Paul Winter (Hickory, North Carolina, USA) and Dr. Orlando Sculli (Brancaleone, RC, Italy).


From May 2002
Works on the Santa Catalina Jesuit Complex in Cordoba, Argentina, will continue in May of this year (figure).
Survey and partial restoration of Santa Catalina began in 1999. On December 1st, 2000, the Complex was declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Monument (link).
We are very proud to have two of our members (Dr. Robert Winter, art historian and team director, and Mr. Francesco Bertolino Master Restorer) involved in such project which includes several internationally known professionals.

Visiting professor from Italy is teaching “ceramic restoration”.
Professor Francesco Bertolino, director of the "Laboratorio di Restauro Keramos", Palermo, Sicily, is teaching a Tuesday-Thursday evening course in ceramic restoration for the next month. He is an expert in ceramic restoration, archeological restoration and aesthetic restoration.
Bertolino works under the commission of the European Community, and has worked at sites in South America, Turkey, Central Europe and Italy. He is currently working with Bob Winter on the Santa Catalina team, as well as in Calabria and Sicily.

It is our pleasure to announce that the Vice-President of our association will be a visiting professor at Lenoir-Rhyne University College in March/April of 2002.
The course titled "Selected Topics in Art, Ceramic Restoration" is offered as part of the Art Department's faculty exchange program.
We are honored and privileged to have Mr. Bertolino sharing his professionalism and expertise!
